WORKING FOR BUMBLE
Junior year of college I had the opportunity to work for Bumble- a social & dating app that is location-based and brings the right people together. Bumble is all about women making the first move, this way empowering women in many ways to feel powerful, worthy, intelligent, and give them that extra push in the real world, whether that be with dating or networking!
Throughout my time working for Bumble, I worked with a team of 3 other boss-babes to bring Bumble to Temple University. Each month, we had a set of tasks to complete, whether it be marketing the brand with handing out stickers or free merchandise, or hosting events and collaborating with other local shops, companies or brands to add another layer of networking to the community.
BUMBLE ON CAMPUS
Who doesn’t love free stuff? Bumble would provide us with a boat load of merchandise to constantly hand out, spreading the Bumble yellow all across campus. Hosting pre-games, birthday parties, bar tabs, pop-up shops, movie nights, and cook outs was made easy with the amount of Bumble merch we received. Seeing that pop of yellow while walking to class, in photos on social media or from across the bar is the most rewarding feeling- knowing we are making a Bumble impact on campus is POWERFUL. Not only is Bumble a dating app, it’s also a friend-making app and a networking app! Bumble has 3 modes, Bumble DATE, Bumble BFF, and Bumble BIZZ…so whatever you’re looking for in your young adult life, Bumble has you covered!
IMPACT ON MY LIFE
Working for Bumble has impacted my life for the better. Working with a team of wonderful girls to spread something as empowering as Bumble across campus was a blast. Figuring out the most affective marketing tactics, creating fun and engaging content to share on socials, and learning how to be a Bumble #BOSSBABE has encouraged me to never be afraid to take that leap of faith. One quote that Bumble prides itself on is-
BE THE CEO YOUR PARENTS ALWAYS WANTED YOU TO MARRY
If that doesn’t make you want to start a business, do that thing you’ve always said you’re going to do, or just take over the world with your creativity, I don’t know WHAT will. Bumble has given me the drive and confidence to create the life I’ve always wanted, and as a woman- that’s pretty bad ass.
